Being rated as the 8th most downloaded app worldwide in 2020, Telegram has earned its fame for a reason, and to assure you, for a good one. This cross-platform allows end-to-end encrypted video chatting, cloud-based instant texting, file transferring and so much more that you can enjoy!
Just how softwares such as Gmail or WhatsApp have added a safety feature onto themselves, Telegram too has introduced this new feature of two-step verification and in this article we have discussed How to enable two-step verification on telegram.
It is a well-known fact that Telegram has received so much of love purely based on how it provides multi-device sync facility. Since Telegram has been made accessible for all devices like tabs, desktop, mobile phones etc, you can log in to your personal Telegram account over multiple devices at one go.
With regard to its privacy and security settings, Telegram has also added an ‘Active Sessions’ feature into the app. This feature shows a screen where there are details mentioned about all your logged in devices along with their IP information. Accordingly, you may choose to shut down sessions that are suspicious or outdated.
Talking about the feature of two-step verification, it permits you to set up a strong password that you need to put in every single time you log in to your account from your new device, along with an OTP that you get via SMS.
However, you must note that if you are unable to remember the password, you will further not be able to access the services, whilst making use of other devices. For your benefit, it is firmly recommended that you must set up a recovery e-mail or the bare minimum say, a hint to make you recall the correct password- all of this necessitated if you switch on the two-step verification option. Read on further to know how to get started.

Similar to G-mail and WhatsApp, Telegram too asks you to put forward a reliable recovery e-mail from your end. But this step is completely optional. However, it is advised that you must provide one, for if you get logged off and are unable to log in, giving in your recovery e-mail would just turn out to be helpful. An e-mail will be sent to you as a mark of confirmation for the detail you have shared.
If you do not want to give in your e-mail ID, you can select the Skip option.
Step 5: Give confirmation
